When you post a trade for an item and someone fills it, the person filling the order will lose the items to the person even if they do not have sufficient funds for the items. the trade poster will lose rep but gain free items..

example:

Fukker places an order for 500,000 crystals for $1,000,000,000. (Fukker has only $50 currently)

Sukker fills the order and his 500,000 crystals go to Fukker, but does not get any $.

Fukker loses rep and gains 500,000 crystals for $0.

is this the way its supposed to be? are we suposed to check that the trade poster has the funds before taking the transaction?

I think the poster should lose the rep, but also get no free items.

Currently that's the way it's supposed to be. If the person lost rep but didn't get the items, you could continue to fill the order over and over and the player would keep losing rep for as many turns as you wanted to spend.

So yeah you can be a swindling bastard, but you lose some rep for it and eventually people will stop filling your orders.
